Love and charity go hand in hand. As one grows, so does the other. Sadly, hurt, corruption, disasters, and crime fill the world. Often, the sheer magnitude is overwhelming. As I've watched the world seem to crumble in front of me, I have found myself asking "What could I possibly do?"

You, me, and every person on this planet have people within our sphere of influence that we can help. Who is in our sphere of influence? People we come into contact with every day. Examples include people we ride the bus with every day, childhood friends that connect with us on social media or the ladies at the doughnut shop that remembers our order. On a more intimate level, it can be our child, niece, nephew, cousin, grandparent, parent, significant other, or close friends. All these people are within our sphere of influence.
Concerning this, Vincent Van Gogh said it best:
"It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well."

Within our sphere of influence, there are people to love, lift, and bless. Whether it be something as simple as making eye contact and smiling or volunteering in your community. As people, we lift our sphere of influence by showing love. Together, we make a difference. In the end, "what is done in love is well done."
