The Wilford Woodruff Papers Foundation, organized in January of 2020, is a public charity that works diligently to make documentation from 1830s easily accessible to people all across the world. The documentation that the foundation works on comes from a personal account of Wilford Woodruff, who was a witness of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their work includes going through the documentation, images, journals, letters, family history, and more from Wilford Woodruff's life.
Donations are greatly appreciated at Wilford Woodruff Papers Foundation. A team member from Wilford Woodruff Papers Foundation explained that donations help, "...fund the identification, digitization, transcription, and verification of Wilford Woodruff's original documents". The process of going through every journal page, every letter, etc., takes meticulous effort. Additional research is completed to recognize people and places that are acknowledged in the documents. Having the identification of people and places mentioned in the documentation helps users to better understand the context of what happened. The team member shared, "donations cover the creation and maintenance of the content management system, including the website, to store and display the documents".
